Jayne D		Approximately 2 years ago I took my Canary in to Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital with a serious leg problem. The band was too tight and was causing the leg to swell, therefore, causing the band to cut into the leg. Dr. Shufer operated on the leg and removed the band and 2 years later my canary is alive and healthy. I was amazed because a bird's leg is very, very fragile. I have always found Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital to be very friendly and caring.
Michelle M.		My Pomeranians have been patients at Alta Rancho Pet & Bird Hospital for many  years. The doctor's have literally saved my dog's life twice. My older Pom has heart disease and is taking multiple medications..  I have hunted all over the internet for a lower price for the medications but I can't find better price anywhere. These doctor's treat my "daughtetrs" with tenderness and love. They strive to keep costs as low as possible even though they have the most comprehensive medical facility I have ever experienced. Michelle S.		I have two lovable and crazy Yorkies, Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley, who are very special to me. I have been taking them to Alta Rancho since they were born. I have moved to Corona but continue to drive to Alta Loma for their excellent care. My male Yorkie, Harry, has anxiety issues which leads to hemorrhaging gastroenteritis. He bleeds internally and gets very sick. He has had to be hospitalized multiple times for this issue. As scary and stressful as this experience is on him, I feel relieved knowing he is in such excellent care. Both Dr. Shufer and Dr. Henderson have been amazing with Harry and with me! Along with their expertise they have shown compassion and understanding. Their staff has also been amazing, especially Richard and Nicole. Even when I ask a million questions and call panicked (like when my 4 pound Yorkie gobbled up the antibiotic my husband was giving our 85 pound Labrador!) they are patient and informative. I HIGHLY recommend Alta Rancho Pet and Bird Hospital! They truly care about the animals they are treating and the families who love their pets!
Theresa C.		My little baby girl, Bailey, was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma last spring. Both doctors were very compassionate and bent over backwards to help our family get through it. After taking her to Orange County for chemo, it just wasn't meant to be and our little Bailey left us. The doctors here accommodated us every which way they could. We appreciate their compassion and interest they took with Baby Girl. Thank you very much once again!
Chas S.		We have a Schnauzer & a West Highland Terrier, two relatively expensive pure bred dogs. They are part of the family and so we sought the best possible care for them. Alta Rancho was recommended to us by a friend and so we have been taking our dogs for shots and regular exams. The staff and the treatment we received was superior to most medical doctors' offices I have visited. They were professional and caring, and took the trouble to explain everything. I can not recommend them highly enough.

I recently moved to Rancho Cucamonga from Northern California and was looking for a vet for my two Boxers, Zeus and Athena.  My neighbor recommended Alta Rancho Pet Hospital with great enthusiasm.  I went to their website to get more information before committing to go there and I was very impressed by the professionalism, depth of information and range of services offered.   Based on the recommendation and this information, I made an appointment for our yearly checkups.   I was impressed by the reception staff who, were very friendly, efficient and thorough.  They pointed me back to their web site to download information forms to speed up our first visit, which was very helpful. I've been to quite a few veterinary hospitals over the years and I felt at ease with Alta Rancho as soon as I walked in.  The place was very clean, with almost no "pet hospital" odors.  The staff were attentive and friendly.  I was seen by Dr. Shufer who was extremely good with my pets and explained everything he was doing as he went along.  Zeus has historically been a bit afraid of vets and tends to act up a bit during visits so I was a little apprehensive about our first visit.  Fortunately, he like Dr. Shufer right away and I was relieved.   After the exams were done, I was taken on a tour of the facility and was very impressed by the cleanliness and all the high tech instruments.   I'm happy to have found such a great hospital on my first try in my new home town.  I would recommend this place without hesitation.
Steve C		A great place to take your pets. A caring and effective staff, led by a consummate professional with a sense of humor to boot! No long waits and personal  attention makes this a comfortable place to bring our pets. We've tried bigger pet hospitals before, but this environment is so much better than the "cold-clinic" feel of other pet centers.
Denny G		I have a 7 year old english bulldog named Bella that has had chronic skin problems and rashes all over her body. A friend had referred me to Alta Rancho Pet Hospital after they had treated her pet for allergies so I called and they were able to see me the same day for an exam. The technicians were great in giving me advice in general maintenance care for Bella and Dr. Henderson was amazing, she explained everything about allergies so clearly to me. After testing my pet for allergies, we were able to start her on weekly allergy injections and medicated shampoo baths, which have helped so much! I had always felt so bad for Bella because she seemed so miserable scratching and with all of the skin infections that she had from itching so much. I am so grateful to Dr. Henderson and her staff for all of their care, they are always so helpful to me when I call and really care about my pet. I can't imagine ever taking Bella or any of my other dogs to anyone else!
Robyn W.		I have four cats and one lizard who have all visited this facility. My cats have had their shots there and two of them have been fixed at this office. The staff is very friendly and seem to truly care about your pet. They even have called my home to check on them after surgery to make sure everything is going okay. They also have called to remind me that my pets are due for their follow-up appointments or shots. Not every pet hospital or vet will see reptiles but this facility does and took my lizard on an emergency appointment. She ended up being fine and they told me she was the best looking 'sick' lizard they ever saw! I don't feel they are the cheapest around but I'm sure they are competitive in their pricing.

When I went into labor last year and boarded her, I felt completely at ease knowing that she would be well taken care of.
