Position: Receptionist and Veterinary Technician

My name is Julie, I have worked at Alta Rancho for 3 years.  I started as an assistant and worked my way up to receptionist and technician.  I have enjoyed working at Alta Rancho because the doctors, staff and pets have prepared me for starting vet school in the fall.  I will be leaving the hospital and moving to northern California to start at UC Davis veterinary school in August.  I have 2 cats, a dog and a horse.  My cats are Sunshine and Indiana Jones, both are young and very playful.  Indiana Jones is a 11 month old gun-metal gray short hair cat and he loves to sleep above my head every night and greet me at the door when I come home.  Sunshine is a shorthaired 2 year-old orange tabby with white, she loves to chase toy mice and take naps with Indiana Jones.  My dog Lulu is a Shepard mix that I found when she was only 4 weeks old, which enjoys visiting the barn.  My horse Otto is a 22 year-old Quarter Horse that is retired from showing.  In my spare time I enjoy riding my horse, taking my dog for a walk and also volunteering for a disabled riding program.
