Trifexis, the once a
month parasite control pill
Trifexis is a
chewable monthly tablet which controls the following parasites in dogs
(not available for cats):
Trifexiscan be
administered to pets as young as 8 weeks of age and is safe at all life
stages. The pill is administered with food and begins to kill
fleas within 30 minutes of ingestion. By 4 hours all the fleas on
the pet will be killed.
A blood test to check for the
presence of heartworms in your pet is required for all dogs over the age
of 6 months prior to administering Trifexis. This is done
to prevent a possible adverse reaction which may occur if Trifexis
is given to a pet with an active heartworm infection.
